Mary, I wrote Windows For Dummies, but I haven't written any Dummies books about Microsoft Office. However, you'll find Microsoft Word 2010 For Dummies and Microsoft Excel 2010 For Dummies on Amazon.

I have a new Dell PC (ugh). I’m ordering your Windows 7 for Dummies. I need a “Dummies” book for my new Dell PC and Office HOME & Student 2010 (Word, Excell etc) Do you have those two “Dummies”? If not, could you recommend good ones?

Jim, try the solution on this page -- or, if you have a way to export your name/address information in CSV file, check the comment at that page's bottom. It lists a free Web site that imports a CSV file, then prints those names/addresses onto Avery labels.

Mr. Rathbone,
I’ m working my way through the Window 7 book and tried to down load the Avery program which you suggested on page 132. This program is not compatible with a 64 bit machine. What is next? TU Jim

Joe, I left out information on partitioning and formatting hard drives to keep the book readable for casual Windows 7 owners, which are the core audience. Most Windows 7 owners never need to partition or format a hard drive. However, I discuss partitioning and formatting at length in Upgrading and Fixing PCs: Do-It-Yourself For Dummies, which will come out September, 2010. If you have a specific question about formatting or partitioning hard drives, feel free to ask me, and I'll answer it on my Web site.

I was reading Win. 7 For Dummies and I noticed you did not say anything about partitioning or formatting the hard drive. Did you leave this out on purpose or did you just not think of it?

Fsoft, the book is usually available in 15 languages, if not more. For example, it looks like the Italian version will be available March 10, 2010.

I checked the ISBN numbers, and that version won’t be released. Apparently the publisher planned to release the DVD by itself, and then changed its mind. At this point, it looks like the DVD will only be bundled with the book.
