Solving the HHCTRL.OCX error message mystery
Q: Whenever I turn on my PC, I get a message:Illegal System DLL Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\System32\Hhctrl.ocx occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
How do I erase this ever constant message?
A: Simply put, Microsoft messed up. They released two patches through Windows Update that conflicted with one another.
The solution? If you're seeing this error message when you turn on your PC, head to Microsoft Knowledge Base web site and download patch 935448.
If this still doesn't fix your HHCTRL.OCX error message, let me know.
