Saving E-mailed Photos to a Folder on your PC
Photos arrive by e-mail either of two ways. Some of them are embedded in the e-mail itself, much the way you see photos on a Web page. You can see these photos simply by looking at the e-mail.Other photos arrive as attachments -- little icons, often a paper clip, that live on the "Attachments" line near the top of an e-mail.
When your photos arrive embedded in an e-mail, save them by doing this:
- Right-click the photo to fetch the pop-up menu.
- Choose Save Image As or Save Picture As.
- Choose your My Pictures folder (or any other folder), and click OK.
When you see photos attached as icons in Outlook Express, save them by doing this:
- Open the message in Outlook Express.
- Click the File menu and choose Save Attachments.
- Choose the attachments you want to save.
- Click the Browse button and navigate to your My Pictures folder (or any other folder, for that matter).
- Click Save.
